When it comes to weddings, the wedding dress is always so exciting for me! I’m quite the ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ when it comes to both the wedding dress and shoes – so whenever I visit the beautiful Agape Bridal Boutique in Knutsford, I always have that Carrie moment! You know the one, when she stops suddenly at a shop window cooing “Hello Lover” at a pair of shoes! Well, I had that moment when I first came across a wedding gown in a nude pink tone and a skirt full of ruffles! It was just so different with a hint of fairy tale about it but also a cool Vera Wang edge.
I was so taken with this dress I just had to shoot it, and so we created a shoot entirely for this purpose, completely all about this beautiful dress and I have had a slight habit of doing this ever since. Seeing an amazing dress and needing to put a shot together for it!
The creatives in us thrive from doing cool shoots like this, without the timeline of a wedding day but when you shoot the thing you are most passionate about – you really grow and hone your style. It takes a lot of extra time and money – and I’ll admit it, yes, stress ad grey hairs! But it means that we have that edge, that something extra and it also proves to you, the clients and potential clients out there, just how passionate about weddings and all the little thigs we are! We even do it in our spare time!
We styled this shoot ourselves and worked with some lovely vendors – Agape Bridal Boutique, Watters, Kerry Baker MUA, By Moon and Tide Calligraphy, Rachel Simpson Shoes and the lovely Sarah our model. With special thanks to each of them for taking part! We can’t wait to show you the whole shoot soon, but for now here’s some of our behind the scenes!
